What did they need

A diverse highly available network with Internet connectivity and a in-house controlled and private but highly available and flexible telecommunications system.

What did we do

Provided primary fibre connection into the site for the main Internet with a diverse licenced microwave backup link solution to a separate location and network termination point with dynamic routing and automatic failover. For the internal phone system we deployed the IC-talk solution in private hybrid mode with training and 2nd / 3rd line support.

Technologies deployed
  • Internet access via Fibre Ethernet
  • Diverse licenced radio / microwave Internet connection
  • IC-talk hybrid cloud telephony solution
Results and additional benefits

Infrastructure and media diversity to maintain maximum uptime replacing a previous incumbent following multiple failures. Overhauling the telephony solution has provided additional features previously unavailable (for example, virtual queues) allowing the fleet to deal with reporting and calls more efficiently. The bonus was it has all been delivered for less money and under budget.

How do they feel

"We had previously used BT but now would definitely recommend Internet Central. The Internet has never gone down. Now, if it did go down we would automatically failover to the wireless backup link in seconds."
